I’m 28 and need a career. What business or finance role is open to me with a 2.2 arts degree?

without comments

I used to have very good academics and went to a top University but starting with my disappointing 2.2 degree (in Modern Languages), it's been a lousy start to working life.
I took the first job out of Uni, wasting away in B2B sales/business development, then gave that up after 3 years, spent 6 months thinking that, being numerate, I wanted to become an accountant. I didn't get a training contract and have worked in an administrative role for a big FTSE 100 company since.
Should I retrain? And in what?
Anything else I could do? I am hoping for a business career with international prospects. And I'm prepared to work hard.
Thanks for any ideas – this could be a life saver (not saying I'm depressed but I need to get one…a life that is).
