Raising finance?

I’d like to raise finance for a media venture? How do I find angel investors or is it better approaching private equity companies – and would they be looking for controlling interest in the company?

    i am in a similar boat as i am trying to raise finance for a commercial mortgage brokers in the north east of england.

    If you provide me with your email address I can give you a list of contacts but as yet i have not had the opportunity to sit infront of someone and pitch my idea so it is probably going to be a lengthy process.
