we need to move out of our 1 bed property but dont have enough money for a deposit?

with one comment

i currently live wth my fiance and my 2 year old son in surrey. our flat is infested with mould and is just too small for all three of us now, and my son needs his own room. I am currently getting housing benefit but its not alot.
We need to move out to a two bed place asap, and our landlord presently has said he will accept one months notice as he leinant as he does not want to fix the mould problem.
We have no spear cash and all the properties we have looked at all though we can afford the rent of like 700 we cant afford the deposit or all the agency fees etc… wat can we do?????? and ideas????

one more thing i have no one that will lend us the money and cannot get a loan or credit card or any type of finance!

Own half of uncles house?

with one comment

I own half of uncles house,if I divorce husband although not lived with him for years can he put in for claim? He had some from my other property, now he says he could put in for claim on this although it is not mind to sell until my uncle has passed awayDied)This is in the conditions with solicitors.Could he ask for money for daughter she is 11yrs and with him? I have made a will including my daughter, but he wont accept this, said he wonts a third if I ever sell property in the future, although he has never giving me a penny,he sold his fathers property 3 yrs ago,but says he has hardly any left,he doesnt work, would he get legal aid if I divorced him,and he put in claim for finance for the future if I sold this property? He claims working tax credit, phone work chatline from home, child tax credit too,but he can not get housing benefit as social wont pay him as he got it stopped as sold fathers flat so it was fraud, and they say he still must have money left and refuse him help thanks

our deposit on our new place is nearly 1800 and we will only get back 937, and we wont get that back untill we leave the property so this will not be intime for all the deposit etccc….

What kind of finance for OU students?

with one comment

Well.. I’m going to be starting an OU degree.
I live in a private flat with my partner who is a full time uni student.
I had been working f/t up untill now, I have decided to study.
I am doing it from home because I do not have the relevant qualifications to study at a college/uni.
I have phoned Student Finance who say that the OU will pay my course fees, and I am only entitled to £250?
I am going to be studying full time-30+ hours a week, and hopefully working p/t somewhere 10+ a week.
The only way we qualify for housing benefit is if I am on JSA, but I cannot be as I won’t be looking for work..
You are apparently expected as a student to pay for your rent etc out of your loans etc… but as I am not going to get any, I don’t see how this works?
How do they expect you to live?
My rent is £450 a month- private.
It isn’t enough to live with just my boyfriends loans and me working p/t.
There must be some more help?? Surely?!!?

Sorry for the long post.
