Should I pursue an International Management course, having graduated with a Law degree?

without comments

Next year I am graduating with a Law degree. I was thinking of avoiding a legal career path completely and was actually considering pursuing a masters in International Management. However, I obviously will be competing with finance graduates and others of a business background. Therefore, my question is whether my Law degree will be of any assistance to me if I want to pursue a career in, for example, consultancy or some managerial role? The masters I am considering offers an intensive insight into international marketing and finance; therefore will the fact that I am not a business undergraduate be of any relevance?
Would I also need to study an additional masters in, for example, finance in conjunction with a masters in International Management?

How Can I Have Articles Published???

with one comment

I did my MA in International Politics and Human Rights…my masters dissertation was on the rise of China’s superpower status and its effect on US foreign policy.

I am currently temping within finance, but I would still like to pursue my interests in writing about international relations.

Where and how can I get articles published???

Communism vs Capitalism- would you have minded the Communists winning?

with one comment

Capitalism is used in the sense of glabl finance and international usuary.

Communism is used in the sense of Gorbachev era Glaznost and Perestroika.

The Soviets and Russian won the cultural-educational-intellictual battle, but lost the war to the incredibly business-savvy and masters of share-markets the Americans.

The Soviet communist model had as many pros and cons as the American semi laisez-faire entrepreneurial capitalism and it’s very diifficult to compare such very different systems as one being superior to the other.

Consider the current politcal and economic environment we find ourselves in- would you have preferred a communist victory or the current status quo?
I"M not advocating communism- I’m only asking you’re opinion, lol.
I love my consumerist trinkets thank-you.

Why don’t women have any general knowledge? Why don’t they care about what is going on in the world?

with one comment

I spoke to a woman recently (no, really). She has a "Masters" in some useless arts subject. Anyway we were talking about remembrance day, poppies etc. And she thought the Somme was a battle between England and Scotland…

Lynn, R., Irwing P and Cammock, T (2002) Sex differences in general knowledge. Intelligence, ,30, 27-40.
Examines sex differences in 19 areas of general knowledge and finds women have more knowledge than men of medicine and cookery, while men have more knowledge than women of politics, history, geography, sport, finance, and science. Men have more general knowledge than women.
